Here you will find some of our frequently asked questions:
1. What is sensory play?
Sensory play is defined as any activity that stimulates one or more of your child’s senses. These senses are touch, hearing, sight, smell and taste.
2. What ages are your sensory boxes suitable for?
Currently our sensory boxes range from newborn up to 18 months. However, children past these ages can still enjoy our sensory boxes and special needs children would also benefit from these specially chosen sensory toys.
3. How long will my order take to arrive?
You can expect to receive your first subscription box within 5-7 working days. You will receive a shipping notification with tracking information once your order has been dispatched. Your subsequent sensory boxes will be dispatched every 3 months on the 15th of the month.
4. Subscription Package, how does it work?
Your baby’s subscription package is a quarterly based subscription. This means one sensory box will be delivered to you every 3 months. You will receive each age specific sensory box when your baby is newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months & 15 months, depending on the date of sign up.
Once you have signed up, you will be charged €64.99, your payments will then be scheduled for every 3 months thereafter until all sensory boxes have been delivered.
Free delivery is provided.
There is an option to pay for a ‘Newborn Gift Package’ subscription upfront (all 6 sensory boxes). You will receive these boxes at a discounted amount, and you will be charged €360.00. Each box will be delivered every 3 months.

The third option is to pay for a ‘Baby’s 12 Month Gift Package’ (4 sensory boxes). You will receive these boxes at a discounted amount, and you will be charged a one off payment €250.00. Each box will be delivered every 3 months.

The final option is to select one sensory box and pay for that box. This is not a subscription. The sensory box is €74.99 and this includes delivery. Your box will be dispatched immediately.
5. Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time if you pay quarterly. Subscription cancellation fee is €5.99. Please ensure to cancel your subscription 5 working days before your next payment is due to be taken to avoid further charges and dispatch of the next box. Please email hello@mylittlebrightbox.ie to cancel.
Unfortunately, you cannot cancel upfront (prepaid) subscription packages (option 2 & 3 in the previous point).
6. What if I move house?
No problem, please get in touch with us by email hello@mylittlebrightbox.ie as soon as you can and we can update your address on file to ensure your next sensory box goes to the right address!
7. Can I purchase gift vouchers?
Yes you can purchase vouchers online. Amounts start from €50.
8. How will I know how to use each sensory toy to get the full benefit for my baby / toddler?
A play guide is provided via email when your sensory box has been dispatched. This guide helps you understand the benefits of each item along with a ‘how to play’ section to give you ideas on how to use them.
9. Is sensory play beneficial for my baby / toddler?
It sure is. Sensory play has many benefits for your little one. It will develop fine motor skills, encourage creativity, support cognitive growth & language development, increase focus & attention, helps achieve calmness, encourages bonding through play and not to mention it's very fun! Each item in our sensory box has been specifically chosen to support your little one’s early development for their age.
10. How many boxes will I receive in my subscription?
Depending on your baby’s age when signing up, will determine on how many boxes you receive. If you sign up from newborn, your baby will receive 6 boxes in total (currently our last box is 15-18 months). If you sign up from 3-6 months, your baby will receive 5 boxes in total.
11. My Baby is nearly 5 months old. Should I still start with the 3-6 month sensory box and can I sign up for a subscription even though I’ve missed the first newborn sensory box?
Yes, you can start your subscription box with us at any stage during your baby’s first year.
Each sensory box is designed to focus on your baby’s specific development milestones. Every month your baby will grow, learn and develop new ways to use and play with each item. We would recommend the 3-6 months sensory box for your little one.
12. What can I expect in a sensory play box?
Your baby’s sensory play box will contain age specific toys to encourage your baby to learn through play. You can expect to receive a minimum of 4 to 5 items in your box. We use wooden, educational and unique toys, which will be appropriate for your baby’s age and stage of development. Each toy is specifically chosen to develop your littles ones senses. We will also provide you with the resources and knowledge in how best to play and use these toys.
13. My baby is behind on the standard development curve?
Even though our sensory boxes are aimed at specific baby ages, not all babies develop at the same rate. Babies learn in stages not ages. Our sensory boxes encourage hands-on learning so that your baby can learn at their own pace.
